About Us
The Jefferson County H.A.R.T. program, which stands for Healing Addiction through Recovery & Treatment, is dedicated to combating the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic and substance use disorder in the Jefferson County, Tennessee community.
Our mission is to help individuals break free from substance use disorder by implementing three core strategies:
1
Connecting people with Treatment and Recovery Options:
We offer resources like the HART Hub, a comprehensive online guide that links individuals to local services, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment, peer support, and recovery housing.
2
Preventing Overdoses:
We actively work to save lives by increasing access to and education about naloxone and connecting high-risk individuals with immediate treatment.
3
Educating the Public:
We provide quality educational resources to prevent addiction, promote recovery, and eliminate the stigma surrounding substance use disorder, fostering a more understanding and compassionate community.
We believe that substance use disorder is a treatable medical condition, and we are committed to helping every person find their unique path to a happier and healthier life.
